Today’s Quote & Question For 7/10/09

Today’s Quote: “I know not, sir, whether Bacon wrote the works of Shakespeare, but if he did not it seems to me that he missed the opportunity of his life.” - James M. Barrie

Today’s Question: What event in your life didn’t happen that made you the success you are today?

My Thoughts: There is a saying in professional sports about the trade that didn’t happen that triggered a player to step up their game and take the team to the next level. Think about your life and look for the thing that didn’t happen that could have derailed you from being the you you are today. Did you give up sports to play piano? Did you bomb the interview for your dream job and find another, better career path? Did you lose a phone number to a person you intended to call, and found yourself free to date someone else?

  1. I did not finish college right away. I took about a nine year break and then decided yes I did need a college education. If I had completed straight thru I would not have had the opportunities that I do now--for instance having a book in press.
