Today’s Question: Are you claiming you own independence today?
My Thoughts: Today in the United States, we are taking the time to celebrate our still relatively young nation declaring itself independent from our mother country Great Britain. Over 200 years later, we Americans are still doing our best to prove just how resilient and creative we are. Sure, the hot dogs and fireworks are fun, but they are just a symbol of the very long and hard struggles that we as a nation have gone though, and the struggles to come. But have you declared your personal independence from the tyranny of self doubt and lack? Why not do it on a symbolic day like today?
